A short intro about myself
I am not short, I am reduced to the best!  After I spend 9 months here in Knysna last year, I had to come back. So here I am, back home in Knysna.

Why I chose YfC Knysna?
I would not really say I chose it; everything just fell into pieces because God has put me here and that was the right decision.

What I hope to achieve during my stay?
Because I know I’m only here for a short amount of time now, I try to make the most out of everything. I know that this is definitely a time where I take a lot of spiritual input with me, so that when I have to go back I am ready to make a difference in Germany as well.

What I enjoy the most?
It’s not easy to say what I really enjoy most. But really special to me was it, when I got here and saw these excited faces when people realized that I am back here.  Besides that, I love the people, I love the beauty of this country,I love the sea and the sun and the “lekker” food!

My favourite experience?
I can’t really say one experience but seeing that everything happens for a reason and that God always wants the best for us is just so important.

What I enjoy the most?
Being here for the second time I see some things from a different kind of view. One of my challenges now is to be obedient in small things. Even if I feel like what I am doing now is not as important as I wish it could be, I put my trust in God that when I am faithful in the small things he will show me greater things which I never expected. (See also Luke 16:10)

Is there any particular scripture that inspires you?
Matthew 6:22 – But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

By putting God first in my life, I don’t have to worry about anything, because he knows my heart and what I need. When I focus on him and how I can serve him, anything else is up to him and he will take care for it.

Why should potential volunteers consider volunteering at YfC Knysna?
If you consider coming to Knynsa, you should know that this could be your best and worst decision: It can be the best time of your life, but it can also make you never really feeling home in your home country, because part of your heart will always be in Knysna.

Any final thoughts?
THANK YOU for having me here.  Ek is baie lief vir julle!
